FreePrEP.org ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Scout Theory LLC. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any Protected Health Information (PHI). Our eligibility tool runs entirely in your browser — no personal data is sent to our servers. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity.
What we do collect
Like most websites, we collect standard analytics data:
- Pages visited, time on site, and general traffic patterns
- Browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
- Referral source (how you found us)
If you contact us through our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message content.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for basic website analytics and to support affiliate link tracking. When you click an affiliate link (e.g., to a telehealth provider), the destination site may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. We have no control over third-party cookies.
If we display advertising through Google AdSense, Mediavine, or similar networks, those services may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings or at aboutads.info/choices.
How we use your information
Analytics data is used solely to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party links
Our site contains links to external websites including telehealth platforms, government programs, and pharmaceutical company resources. Each has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Children's privacy
FreePrEP.org provides general health information resources. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
